KUALA LUMPUR: Police have issued a directive to tighten the Movement Control Order (MCO) on the public at the Jalan Raja Bot Market, here, from tomorrow.
Dang Wangi district police chief, ACP Mohd Fahmi Visuvanathan Abdullah said several roads leading to the Jalan Raja Bot Market (Chow Kit Market) would be closed to control the traffic.
‘’Among the roads to be closed include Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. Jalan Raja Abdullah, Jalan Raja Alang up to Jalan Raja Bot.
“This will include Lorong Raja Bot, Lorong Haji Hussein and Lorong Haji Hussein 1,” he said in a statement today.
Nevertheless, Mohd Fahmi said the public could use the routes to the market through Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and exit through Jalan Raja Alang.
He also reminded the public only one family member was allowed to buy items of needs at the market.
‘’All visitors are required to maintain their one-metre social distance, regularly wash their hands and are advised to wear nose and mouth mask,’’ he added.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that MCO had been extended to April 14. - Bernama
