JOHOR BARU: A fisherman who was reported missing after his boat capsized in Sungai Nibong, Batu Pahat , yesterday, was found safe by a merchant vessel yesterday.
Batu Pahat Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) commander Mohammad Othman said the fisherman, identified as Mohd Yatim, 36, was found floating and clinging to a barrel by MV El Zorro at 5.45pm about 12.7 nautical miles northwest of Tanjung Tohor, Batu Pahat.
The victim was then sent to Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital, Batu Pahat, for treatment, he said in a statement. — Bernama
