PETALING JAYA: A move by some local residents to help foreign workers with food and other essentials was stopped by a staff of a housing developer who ordered the residents to leave the site.

Nurathirah Zukarnain, 28, and her family members have been distributing food aid to these workers ever since the movement control order (MCO) was enforced.

She told theSun today that she first found out about the plight of the foreigners when she stumbled upon a comment made by an Indonesian man on a Youtube video saying that he and his other fellow workers at Bukit Takun near Rawang do not have sufficient food to eat.

“Of course, my family and I decided we should help them with some food at least,” she said.
