KUANTAN: The local populace is worried about their safety after several incidents of vehicle screens being broken using marbles since June.
The special officer to the Kuantan Member of Parliament, Aidil Haryman Mat Nor said the incidents were reported to have taken place around Jalan Kampung Tengah, Jalan Wong Ah Jang, Jalan Kampung Jawa and Jalan Haji Junid here.
“Eleven cases have been referred to us from June with the latest case taking place on Dec 6.
“Looking at the marks on the cars, we believe the perpetrator used marbles propelled by a catapult or an airgun,“ he told a media conference at the Kuantan Parliament People’s Service Centre here today.
Aidil Haryman said all the incidents took place from 7pm to 12 midnight and had targeted moving vehicles. — Bernama
