PUTRAJAYA: A Nepalese man lost his life while his countryman was seriously injured when the motorcycle they were riding skidded and hit the kerb near a roundabout flinging them onto the road at Precinct 16 here yesterday.

Putrajaya district police chief, ACP Rosly Hassan said initial investigations found that Thapa Magar Bepen, 24, who died at the scene, and Pun Magar Hari Prasad, 25, were heading towards Precinct 16 Petronas petrol station from Precinct 16 Shell petrol station when the self-accident happened at 9pm.

According to him, Pun Magar is in a coma for head and chest injuries and still being treated in the intensive care unit at Putrajaya Hospital.

“The victims’ employer has been informed,“ he told the media when contacted today.

The case is being investigated under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987. — Bernama
