SEREMBAN: Effective Jan 2 next year, the Seremban Municipal Council (MPS) will implement a new parking fee collection system which had been put on hold since September 2017, said its president Datuk Zazali Salehudin.
He said Syarikat Oval Success Sdn Bhd had been appointed through open tender to manage the fee collection through the JomParking smartphone application and a coupon system at the parking areas in Seremban Town Centre, Seremban 2, Oakland, Jalan Rasah, Jalan Tuanku Antah, Jalan Zaaba, Jalan Gan Tam, Jalan Wong Yik Tong, Betaria, Taman AST and Jalan Zamrud.
“Of these, Oakland and Seremban 2 (near AEON) are new locations for collections,” he said in a statement here today.
He added that the JomParking application can be downloaded through Play Store, App Store and Google Store, while the company will appoint coupon agents who must display the notice ‘Parking Coupon Agent’.
The coupons will also be sold at the car park booths at the locations.
He added that car parks in Kemayan Square, Senawang and Millenia Square will use the old system of car park metres, smart cards and coins. — Bernama
