SEREMBAN: The Seremban Magistrate’s Court here today fixed Nov 4 for remention of the case involving a stockbroker charged with murdering two senior citizens on July 24.

Tan Kian Ngip, 40, is accused of two charges of knifing to death, Eng Chong Hwa, 67, and Tan Kim Joo, 73, at a house in Jalan Melati 21, Taman Desa Melati, Nilai between 4pm and 7.45pm on July 24 this year.

If convicted, he faces the death sentence under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The two cases were heard separately by Magistrate Mahyun Yusof and V. Vanita respectively.

Deputy public prosecutor Mas Syafiqah Mahroob and Nur’atiqah Sapari informed the court respectively that the prosecution was still awaiting the post mortem report, Fire and Rescue report, chemist’s report and the accused’s medical report.

Meanwhile, the case of three others, Lim Boon Ee, 35, Kek Yiing Haur, 41, and Huen Kok Chou, 37, who have been jointly charged with disposing of the knife used by Tan in the alleged commission of the offence was also fixed for remention on Nov 4.

The charge under Section 201 of the Penal Code carries a maximum seven years imprisonment and a fine upon conviction.
