SHAH ALAM: The “Selangor Corporate Colour Run 2019” held today saw the participation of over 2,000 people.

A special category – the Corporate Charity Run – saw sponsorships benefitting the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation that ranged from RM5,000 (Bronze) to RM30,000 (Platinum).

Selangor Mentri Besar, Amirudin Shari, said the aim of the Invest Selangor Bhd event co-organised by Kelab Rekreasi Invest Selangor (KRIS) and supported by Mentri Besar Incorporated (MBI), was to promote a healthy lifestyle.

“It was also to foster better relations between the Selangor state government and industrial community.

“I was told 2,100 people comprising corporate staffers, the industrial community and members of the public from Selangor especially joined,” he told reporters after the flag off at Stadium Shah Alam.

Seen at the run were state investment, industry and trade, small and medium industries committee chairman, Datuk Teng Chang Khim and the Invest Selangor Bhd management team.

There was the 3km category for C-level executives and programme sponsors, and a 5km category.

In the men’s and women’s 5km open categories, the first prize was RM350, second prize was RM250 and third prize was RM150. Those who came in fourth to 25th also received a cash prize. — Bernama
