KUALA LUMPUR: All PKR members should be open-minded in accepting leaders who can benefit the party, said its Information chief Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin (pix).

“We (PKR members) must be open-minded in accepting leaders who can add value to PKR, especially in the context of Sabah and Salleh (former Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak) as an experienced leader, who could help Parti Keadilan Sabah,” he said.

Shamsul Iskandar, who is also Deputy Primary Industries Minister, spoke to reporters when met at the Parliament lobby here today.

Earlier today, Sabah PKR Leadership Council deputy chairman Mustapha Sakmud had warned against accepting Salleh into the party.

Shamsul Iskandar said: “It is not our practice to just reject it, we have to have certain reasons. So let us bring this to the meeting first.” — Bernama
