PKR MPP wants transition of power to be peaceful, orderly

PETALING JAYA: PKR central leadership council (MPP) members want the transition of the prime minister to be undertaken peacefully, unanimously and in an orderly manner, making the Pakatan Harapan (PH) presidential council as the best forum.

PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the transition issue had always been an issue raised by many.

Speaking at a press conference after attending the PKR MPP monthly meeting here today, Saifuddin Nasution said the MPP reaffirmed its decision that PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was the party’s candidate for the prime minister post.

“The MPP today also made the decision that all six party representatives to the PH presidential council meeting should uphold the party’s decision,“ he said. — Bernama
