Police record statement from Nga Kor Ming

KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman today recorded Perak DAP chairman Nga Kor Ming’s (pix) statement, here, in connection with a Facebook page that allegedly insulted the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

The Deputy Dewan Rakyat speaker, who arrived at 1.26pm, was seen leaving the police headquarters at 3pm in a Proton Perdana official vehicle.

He was accompanied by Perak state assembly speaker Datuk Ngeh Khoo Ham, Jelutong member of Parliament (MP) R.S.N Rayer, Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh, Batu Gajah MP V. Sivakumar and several Perak DAP leaders.

“A report with evidence to assist the police investigation was submitted at the same time.

“I also urge the police to take action against former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak over the defamatory statement made against me on his facebook page,” he told reporters, here, today.

Meanwhile, Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Huzir Mohamed confirmed recording the Teluk Intan MP’s statement and said the investigation was being conducted under Section 4 (1) of the Sedition Act.

Earlier, the statement insulting the Sultan of Selangor was allegedly made through the Facebook account, Nga Kor Ming Super Fans Page last month. — Bernama
