Police seeking 2 suspects in slashing incident at Buntong restaurant

IPOH: Police are tracking down two men believed to involved in a slashing incident in front of a restaurant in Buntong here yesterday afternoon.

Ipoh police chief ACP A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz (pix) said they received a call about a 44-year-old man being slashed with a machete at 2.09pm.

“Both male suspects are believed to riding in a white Perodua Viva car.

“Investigating officers went to the scene with a forensics team from the Perak Contingent Police Headquarters upon receiving a call about the incident to conduct an investigation,“ he said.

He said the victim suffered injuries to his hand and was taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here for treatment, adding that the police were in the midst of establishing the motive behind the incident.-Bernama
