KOTA BHARU: The public are advised to refer to the Kelantan National Security Council’s (MKN) official Facebook page for the latest developments and instructions relating to the efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19 in Kelantan.
State Chief Police Officer Datuk Shafien Mamat said the police also advised the public not to spread any false information or unverified news on their social media platforms.
“Stern actions can be taken against those involved in spreading false information or news under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998,” he said in a statement here, today.
Meanwhile, Shafien also said the audio recording claiming that Kelantan would be placed under the Movement Control Order (MOC) was untrue.
Last Monday, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the Conditional MCO in Kelantan, Selangor, Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Penang has been extended until April 28. -Bernama
