KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Air Force (RMAF) today conducted a mercy flight to send a woman with encephalitis dengue at Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Batu Pahat, Johor, to Kelantan.

RMAF public relations division, in a statement today, said the illness suffered by Eila Fariha Ramli, 24, required her to be given follow-up treatment by a specialist at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital (HPRZII) in Kota Baru, Kelantan.

It said the aircraft left from the Senai International Airport, Johor, at 6.03am and arrived at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kelantan at 7.30am.

The patient, who was accompanied by her mother, a medical officer and a nurse, was then taken by a waiting ambulance to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital. - Bernama
