Scheduled water supply disruption in Kuala Langat, Sepang from Nov 24

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 27 areas in the Kuala Langat and Sepang regions in Selangor will experience scheduled water supply disruption starting from 9 pm on Nov 24 (Tuesday) until 5.30 pm the following day (Nov 25).

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) Corporate Communication head, Elina Baseri said this was to facilitate work to replace the valve at the distribution pipes located at the intersection of Jalan Indah 1, Jalan B48 Pekan Sepang Lama that will be conducted from 9 pm on Nov 24.

She said replacement of the valve was necessary to ensure a smooth water supply distribution system.

It is also part of Air Selangor’s effort to improve its service for the comfort of consumers in the future, she said in a statement today.

She also said the water supply disruption and restoration period would vary according to areas which also includes the water pressure at the distribution system.

Based on the attachment provided by Air Selangor, the areas that will be affected in Kuala Langat are Kampung Kudang, Tanjung Sepat New Village, Taman Pelangi, Taman Tanjung Sepat Indah, Bedford Estate and Kampung Tanjung Layang.

Other areas are the Gadong Estate Quarters, Kampung Batu Laut, Batu Estate, Tanjung Sepat Orang Asli Village, Kampung Tanjung Sepat Darat, Tanjung Sepat Police Barracks, Kampung Batu Untung, Taman Batu Untung, Taman Tanjung, Taman Mutiara, Kampung Tumbuk and Taman Kanchong Laut.

For Sepang, the areas are Kampung Bukit Bangkong, Kampung Orang Asli Bukit Bangkong, Princess Haliza PLKN Camp Ulu Teris, Kampung Hulu Teris, Tanjung Rhu, Taman Seri Sungai Pelek, Kampung Ulu Chuchoh, Pekan Sungai Pelek and Kampung Baru Sungai Pelek.

Therefore, Air Selangor advised the affected consumers to store sufficient water supply and to use water sparingly during the scheduled water disruption period.
