KLANG: A transvestite who was beaten by a group of men armed with blunt objects in an incident in a hotel in Bukit Tinggi here last night died while he was receiving treatment in a hospital here.
The 32-year-old victim from Sabah was confirmed dead at 10.47pm at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) here.
Klang Selantan District Police Chief ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli said a hotel security guard found the victim at about 7pm yesterday sprawled with injury marks.
“The victim was injured in the head and had swellings in several parts of the body, while his palms were broken, suspected to be the result of beatings by a group of men,“ he said in a statement on WhatsApp. He added that the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. — Bernama
