7-ELEVEN Malaysia recently concluded its annual CSR initiative, #BuatBaikTogether, to support disadvantaged communities across the country. Throughout the six-week long campaign which ended on
Nov 8, 2020, customers were encouraged to donate to a charitable cause by contributing necessities such as food, beverages, household essentials and other supplies purchased from 7-Eleven Malaysia stores, and to drop the items into contribution boxes placed in over 2,400 stores nationwide.

#BuatBaikTogether4 successfully collected over RM1.5 million worth of supplies consisting of food and non-food products such as groceries, canned food, biscuits and snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and medical supplies. The contributions were gathered and distributed to over 200 charity homes and non-profit organisations nationwide.

The campaign successfully raised RM5,000 for CSR partner Damai Disabled Person Association Malaysia through the contribution of 10 sen for each purchase of a selected partner brand listed by 7-Eleven Malaysia. Damai Disabled Person Association Malaysia has been at the forefront to equip the disabled community with the necessary skills to live independently and create disability awareness training specifically conducted for various government agencies, NGOs and private sectors.

Expressing his gratitude, president of Damai Disabled Person Association Malaysia, Murugeswaran Veerasamy said: “We are grateful to receive this donation from 7-Eleven Malaysia and would like to thank everyone who contributed to #BuatBaikTogether4 campaign. We will use the donation received to assist our members and provides them with vocational skills which eventually assists them in the realm of financial skills.”

We are ever thankful for the support of our customers in contributing for this charitable cause. We are pleased with the positive impact and results of the campaign, and hope that our loyal customers will continue to join us in our endeavours to support more underprivileged communities across the country.”
