7-Eleven calling on public to donate items, which will be channelled to those, in need

KUALA LUMPUR: Since the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country, many had to face financial woes and thus, 7-Eleven Malaysia has been giving assisting the marginalized and less-fortunate communities, around the country.

To date, 7-Eleven has collectively contributed more than RM1.6 million worth of essentials, from test kits, personal protective equipment, groceries and foodstuff to various beneficiaries, nationwide.

Driven by the desire to ‘Always Be There For You’, 7-Eleven is calling on the public to support its ‘Kotak Putih Campaign’, in which contributions received handed directly to the needy individuals, families and charity bodies, located within the area of every 7-Eleven stores in Malaysia.

“By leveraging upon our wide network of stores across the country, we hope to bring convenience for everybody and extend a helping hand to others, who are in need of help, in the local community (within the area).

“A simple contribution of any item, from cream crackers to a can of sardine would make a difference to the recipients,” said 7-Eleven Malaysia’s General Manager of Marketing, Ronan Lee.

“When distributing the contributions, which we have received, we strive to keep the recipients informed that the contribution was made possible through the generosity of the people, who come together in the spirit of #KitaJagaKita to help those, who are less fortunate,“ said Lee.

“As the situation remains unpredictable, our Kotak Putih collection box will be displayed until the current situation begins to abate. Meanwhile, contributions would be disbursed to those, in need of help.”

“We hope that the Kotak Putih Campaign will kickstart snowball-of-generosity, during these challenging times,” Lee added.

“We are extremely thrilled to work with 7-Eleven Malaysia in the disbursement of donated items by connecting them with charitable organizations and struggling households, nationwide.”

“We hope that the Kotak Putih Campaign will serve our community and I hope that this donation drive would ease the burden as we render necessary aid, to those in need,” added Managing Director of NGOHub, Chun Wah Hoo.
