theSun was abuzz with excitement as Tiger Beer visited to celebrate the Lunar New Year on the morning of Jan 13. The visit saw them spreading the festive cheer through a double celebration for both the Year of the Rat and Tiger Beer’s auspicious 88th anniversary.

This year, Heineken Malaysia Berhad (HEINEKEN Malaysia) is sharing the prosperity with a series of promotions, contests and activations on a grander scale than ever before as Malaysians embrace 2020, a year filled with the promise of doubles.

Taking a break from work, the staff of theSun were treated to a mesmerising lion dance performance, with each five colour of the lions representing the different brands in the HEINEKEN Malaysia portfolio.

Accompanying the lions were a pair of Choi San Yeh or God of Prosperity as part of the “Double the Huat” theme. The staff also participated in the HUAT game in order to get their hands on exclusive prizes and HEINEKEN Malaysia merchandise.

With festive cheer at its peak, the HEINEKEN Malaysia’s management team joined the management team from theSun in the traditional “Lou Sang” ceremony, where yee sang is tossed and wishes were made for the upcoming year.

Following this, tokens of appreciation were exchanged, with theSun’s management team receiving a hand-painted art piece of one of Tiger Beer’s Exclusive 88th Anniversary Ang Pow designs by artist Valen Lim.

The limited edition Ang Pows that come in eight designs can be redeemed upon the purchase of RM188 of HEINEKEN Malaysia products at the Tiger HUAT HUAT Bazaar in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from now until Feb 9.

Until mid-February, customers are encouraged to purchase any big bottle of selected HEINEKEN Malaysia products at participating food courts and coffee shops to win various cash prizes and Tiger Crystal just by just by checking for marked “Huat” characters under the bottle caps.

As for consumers celebrating in selected bars and pubs, the premium Heineken Ang Pow allows for a personalised video message or QR code with the purchase of two bottles of Heineken 0.0. Cider fans can get their hands on a delectable Apple Fox Cider Bak Kwa upon purchasing two glasses or bottles of Apple Fox Cider at participating bars.

Fans of Guinness will not be missing out either. The purchase of two cartons of Guinness Foreign Extra Stout gives customers a chance to receive an exclusive Guinness Electronic Dice set.

These exclusive rewards can also be gotten without leaving the house through the range of promotions available on Drinkies, HEINEKEN Malaysia’s home delivery service.
