The hazy weather which has swept the country since last week, that is believed to come from Indonesia, has led to a large number of schools to be closed across Malaysia, while air quality worsened just days before the city’s Formula One motor race in Singapore.

The Tun Razak Exchange are barely visible through the haze that enveloped the city. The Department of EnvironmentÕs (DOE) air pollutant index (API) showed unhealthy levels of between 150 and 240 in parts of the states of Sarawak, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
