After a breathtaking Christmas celebration, Sunway Putra Mall continues the festive joy into the new decade with its ‘Bank of Happiness’ Chinese New Year celebration.
From Dec 30 to Feb 9, the town in the Main Concourse of the mall is dotted with adorable “Tang Yuan” (glutinous rice balls), a traditional Chinese delicacy served during Chinese New Year and happy occasions that are celebrated with family.
Accompanying the “Tang Yuan” are life-sized “Nian Gao” and “Tanghulu” in bright hues of pink, yellow and orange colours to symbolize joyfulness and cheerfulness. Visitors will not want to miss the Insta-worthy ‘Bowl of Joy’ which is filled with “Tang Yuans.”
Chinese New Year essentials such as snacks, hampers, beard candy, fresh flowers, traditional costumes and more can be found at the Festive Bazaar, Ground Floor. Lucky visitors may even get to meet the God of Prosperity during the walkabout and receive enticing shopping vouchers.
Rounding out the celebrations are exciting activities, exhilarating competitions and exclusive redemptions. Enjoy “Huat” deals as low as RM8 at selected outlets namely Chicken Plus, Mr Dakgalbi, DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe, Belgium Taste Chocolate Cafe and Swensen’s other outlets.
