Fine dining with MSU

MANAGEMENT and Science University (MSU) via its School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA), recently teamed up with EQ, the newest 5-star hotel in Kuala Lumpur to organise a Charity Dinner - MSU x EQ.

The proceeds from the event amounting to RM3,000 will be donated to Yayasan MSU, a foundation that seeks to create quality human capital and address issues on social imbalance.

The fine dining event comprised of an 8-course menu prepared by three chefs from MSU and EQ -

Chef Areff Adli Fabil (MSU) , Chef Mohd Farhan Aszme (Demi Chef at Sebayon Restaurant, EQ ) and Chef Muhammad Afiq Abdul Malek (Chef de Partie at Nipah Restaurant, EQ ).

Both Chef Farhan and Chef Afiq are MSU alumni from the Diploma in Culinary Arts programme from the class of 2013 and 2012 respectively.

Guests of honour at the event included MSU president Professor Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid; MSU Vice Chancellor Prof Puan Seri Datuk Dr Junainah Abd Hamid; EQ’s Public Relation manager Tiffany Chung, SHCA dean Azizul Jamaludin and MSU’s industry partners and alumni.

The strategic partnership between MSU and EQ in organising the charity dinner, is part of efforts to enhance collaboration between the university and industry for the benefit of MSU students in terms of providing a wholesome learning experience to produce holistic and well-rounded graduates who have academic knowledge and hands-on experience.

MSU sees such continuous engagements as benefitting both the industry and university in terms of performance reviews, practical content, approaches and challenges.
