HILTON Petaling Jaya’s award-winning Japanese restaurant, Genji, is proud to present the Japanese Premium Beef promotion that’s back by popular demand. The promotion running from Sept 3 to 31 Oct 31, 2019, will feature an all-new selection of halal high-end cuts of beef.

Guests will get to savour a selection of four different types of premium beef imported from Japan starting from RM360 nett. The four types of premium beef are Miyazaki, Matsusaka, Nishiawa and the general Wagyu.

Miyazaki is 100% purebred Wagyu that comes from the “Japanese Black” cow and it gained fame when it won first place at the Wagyu Olympics three consecutive times. Matsusaka is Japan’s finest and most expensive steak that’s known for its high-fat content and unique marbling pattern. In one bite, you can taste its rich flavour and melt-in-your-mouth sensation from its extreme tenderness.

Nishiawa beef is the first halal dedicated slaughterhouse in Tokushima and the beef comes from various local Japanese farms. For those who are new to Japanese beef can try the general Wagyu as an introduction, which features a generous amount of marbling and distinct flavour.

Guests also get to choose from four different authentic flavours and method of cooking. Shioyaki is one of the most popular and simple methods where the meat is grilled with salt to bring out the natural flavours of the dish. Teriyaki is delicious for a sweet flavour concocted from soy and sugar.

For a light and mellow flavour, go for Misoyaki which uses soybean paste as a marinade. Those who prefer more flavour and moisture in their steak should opt for Teppanyaki which also gives a sweet and salty flavour from ingredients like pepper and butter.

Genji is open daily from 12pm to 2:30pm for lunch on weekdays and Saturdays. Dinner is from 6:30pm to 10:30pm on weekdays and Sundays, and 6pm to 10:30pm on Saturdays.

A special 25% discount is available for Hilton Dining APAC members and a 15% discount for selected credit cardholders.
