Iron Man return for Robert Downey Jr ?

WHEN Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr (pix), died at the end of Avengers: Endgame, many fans were upset.

The actor has since explained why he agreed to kill off his beloved character after playing it for a decade.

However, there are whispers that the actor may be reprising his role as Iron Man for one last time in the upcoming Black Widow movie.

Before getting too excited, Disney hasn’t commented on this so it still remains a speculation.

Downey has been outspoken against portraying the genius billionaire, playboy and philanthropist Tony Stark after the last Avengers film.

“I had an incredible ten-year run that was creatively satisfying,” he said in July.

“It was very, very, very hard work and I dug very deep, but I have not been forced to explore the new frontier of what is my creative and personal life after this.”

“First thing you learn in theater arts. Aesthetic distance. I am not in this play I’m doing. I’m not a character in The Fantasticks. I’m not Will from Oklahoma. Aesthetic distance. It’s job one. I’m not my work. I’m not what I did with that studio. I’m not that period of time that I spent playing this character.”

“And it sucks because the kid in all of us wants to be like, ‘No! It’s always gonna be summer camp and we’re all holding hands and singing kumbaya. Isn’t it?’ It’s like, ‘no! Snap out of it.’”

The only things fans can do now is to wait until Black Widow hits the theatres on May 1, 2020.

Fans who miss watching Tony Stark will be delighted to watch the recently released deleted scene from Iron Man. The alternate version of the post-credits scene showed Nick Fury mentioning the existence of X-Men in the Marvel Comics Universe to Tony Stark.
