THE issue of driving under the influence of alcohol reared its ugly head again, when a vehicle rammed through other cars parked roadside in Port Klang.
In a video on Twitter, a pick-up truck is seen swerving left and right and grazing at cars parked on the side of the road, at a housing complex in Taman Pandamar 2.
The vehicle ground to a halt after hitting, and knocking down a lamp post.
Police said the incident took place at 9.35pm on Jan 26, and 12 vehicles were damaged.
Klang South police chief ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli said the suspect’s breathalyser test showed his alcohol level above the legal limit.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The driver who sustained minor injuries was treated at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR), and will be investigated under the Road and Transport act for dangerous driving.
