PRE-ORDERS for the Xperia 1, Sony Malaysia’s upcoming flagship smartphone, are now open.

The water-resistant device comes with a 3330mAh battery with Xperia Adaptive charging and fast charging.

Inside is the chipset of choice for flagship smartphones, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. It is paired with 6GB of RAM for multitasking and 128 of expandable storage.

In addition to its bleeding-edge features, the Xperia 1’s most standout features are its world’s first 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR OLED display and the world’s first Eye AF (auto focus) in a smartphone.

The wide display ratio lets you enjoy movies in their original format. enhanced by Sony’s award-winning Bravia TV technologies, right in the palm of your hand. Dolby Atmos further enriches the viewing experience.

The Xperia 1 triple camera array is made up of three 12MP sensors. Each is equipped with different lenses: a 16mm lens for wide landscapes, a versatile 26mm lens, and a 52mm lens telephoto shooting (35mm equiv.).

Eye AF, a feature inherited from Sony’s Alpha line of interchangeable lens camera, focuses on the eyes of the subject when you take portrait shots. It also works in continuous burst shooting with up to 10fps AF/AE (auto exposure) tracking.

For video, it offers expression-based colour management pre-sets known as the new Cinema Pro feature.

Set to ship on Oct 8, the Xperia 1 is priced at RM4,299 with a free WH-1000XM3 (Black only) wireless Noise-Cancelling headphones for those who pre-order.
