Fashion supermodel Bella Hadid needs no introduction at this point. But what do we owe the pleasure of the supernova gracing her stellar appearance right here in Kuala Lumpur?
Voted “Model of the Year” in 2016 at the tender age of 20, Bella Hadid was appointed by Swiss luxury watch powerhouse TAG Heuer as its newest global ambassador in an effort to appeal to the millennials, together with a coterie of celebrity A-listers including Cara Delevingne, Chris Hemsworth, Martin Garrix and Angelababy.
To further cement her growing prominence as the brand’s ambassador, TAG Heuer welcomes Bella’s bewitching personality and rare beauty in an exclusive meet-and-greet at TAG Heuer Boutique in The Gardens KL, followed by an evening soiree at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur.
What are your first thoughts when you were approached by TAG Heuer as their ambassador?
My father has always been a big lover of watches. I would always go into his closet to find all these amazing watches and a lot of them are TAG.
When they approached me to be one of their ambassadors and to do a campaign; it as so much fun to shoot, at the same time it was a really cool experience.
There have been so many people who have worked before me with TAG, and to be able to come after so many incredible athletes and actors is really such a blessing for me.

Given TAG Heuer’s tagline, do you have a “Don’t Crack Under Pressure” moment?
There was one time I was doing a fashion show and just when they were about to push me onto the runway, the side of my dress broke so they had to zip it back up, at the same time they were ripping my skin while zipping it up. The side of my dress was covered in blood because I was bleeding, and I had to hold up my dress while I was walking, so I tried not to cry under pressure.
What is your favourite TAG Heuer timepiece?
It is definitely my Link Lady watch I did with TAG Heuer. Made entirely from matte black ceramic with diamonds on it, and I think its very classic, beautiful, simple and who doesn’t love diamonds right?
It goes with everything, I don’t change watches very often; if I love something I’ll stick to it, and Link Lady really is a piece that I can wear during the day and night.
