KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit the Sumbawa Region, Indonesia at about 10.26 tonight.
A statement from the Malaysian Meteorological Department said the quake occurred at a depth of 25km and at a distance of 172km south of Bima, Indonesia.
