Flyers sign F Aube-Kubel to 2-year extension

The Philadelphia Flyers signed forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel to a two-year contract extension Thursday.
The 24-year-old's new deal averages $1.075 million per year, according to the team. The contract will run through the 2021-22 season.
Aube-Kubel appeared in 36 games for the Flyers this season, tallying 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) and 19 penalty minutes. He also appeared in 13 playoff games, notching two goals, one assist and eight penalty minutes.
Aube-Kubel, a native of Alberta, was the Flyers' second-round draft pick (No. 48 overall) in 2014.
