IMF says Argentina's latest debt offer is 'important step'- spokesman

BUENOS AIRES, July 7 (Reuters) - A spokesman for the International Monetary Fund said on Tuesday that Argentina's latest debt offer to its creditors is "an important step" in the restructuring process.
The IMF hopes all parties involved will work towards reaching an agreement in a timely fashion, the spokesman said in a statement, following Argentina's latest offer which was formalized with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. (Reporting by Cassandra Garrison)
