Raiders' standouts RB Jacobs, TE Waller miss practice

25 Sep 2020 / 05:43 H.

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs and tight end Darren Waller missed practice Thursday, but both are expected to play Sunday against the New England Patriots in Week 3.

The Raiders (2-0) didn't practice Wednesday, coming off a Monday night game, but Jacobs (hip) and Waller (knee) would not have participated.

Rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs III (knee/hamstring) was downgraded from a full participant on Wednesday's estimated report to limited on Thursday. Wide receiver Bryan Edwards (foot) and tackle Sam Young (groin) were also limited.

Starting right tackle Trent Brown (calf) and linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski (pectoral) were also non-participants Thursday.

Guard Richie Incognito (Achilles) was put on IR earlier this week.

Jacobs and Waller have been a formidable one-two punch for the Raiders over two games. Jacobs (four total TDs) is fifth in the league in rushing with 181 yards and Waller is third among NFL tight ends with 148 receiving yards on 18 catches, including a score. Jacobs also has seven catches for 63 yards receiving out of the backfield.
