Reports: Giants QB Jones to start vs. Ravens

27 Dec 2020 / 03:30 H.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is expected to start the team's game against the Baltimore Ravens, multiple media outlets reported on Saturday.

Jones, who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Baltimore, sat out the Giants' 20-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns last week with ankle and hamstring injuries.

The Giants' offense is in need of a jolt. The team has been outscored 46-13 in the past two weeks -- both losses.

Jones, 23, has thrown for 2,462 yards with eight touchdowns and nine interceptions in 12 games this season. He also has rushed for 403 yards and a score.

Colt McCoy, 34, completed 19 of 31 passes for 221 yards last week for the Giants (5-9), who are tied for second place with Dallas in the NFC East. Both clubs trail the Washington Football Team (6-8) in the division.

Washington is scheduled to host the Carolina Panthers (4-10) on Sunday.
