The Minnesota Wild signed defenseman Ian McCoshen to a one-year, two-way contract, the club announced Monday.

McCoshen, 25, played last season with Springfield and Rockford in the American Hockey League.

A second-round pick (31st overall) by Florida in 2013, he spent parts of three seasons with the Panthers and registered seven points (four goals, three assists) in 60 career NHL games.

The two-way contract calls for $700,000 with the Wild, and/or $125,000 with the Iowa Wild in the AHL. The 6-3, 210-pounder from Anaheim, Calif., played at Boston College for three seasons.
