Wilson's 5th TD toss carries Seahawks past Cowboys

Russell Wilson threw five touchdown passes for the second consecutive week, including a go-ahead 29-yarder to DK Metcalf with 1:47 remaining, as the Seattle Seahawks remained undefeated with a 38-31 victory against the visiting Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Ryan Neal intercepted a Dak Prescott pass in the end zone with six seconds remaining to clinch the victory for Seattle (3-0).

Wilson completed 27 of 40 passes for 315 yards, setting a pair of early-season passing marks in the process. He became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw at least four touchdown passes in each of his team's first three games, and his 14 touchdown passes are the most by any player through Week 3 in NFL history. Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes threw 13 touchdown passes in the Chiefs' first three games in 2018.

Three of his touchdowns went to Tyler Lockett, who had nine receptions for 100 yards. Metcalf caught four passes for 110 yards, and Chris Carson rushed for a game-high 64 rushing yards on 14 carries.

Prescott was 37 of 57 passing for 472 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Two of the TDs went to Cedrick Wilson and the other to Michael Gallup.

Prescott rallied the Cowboys (1-2) from a 15-point deficit in the second half, and they took a 31-30 lead on Greg Zuerlein's 42-yard field goal with 3:59 left.

But Wilson marched the Seahawks 75 yards in eight plays for the winning score.

Wilson would've had a sixth touchdown, but Metcalf had the ball knocked out of his hands from behind at the 1-yard line by Dallas' Trevon Diggs late in the first quarter on a 62-yard completion. The ball rolled out of the end zone for a touchback, giving the Cowboys possession at their own 20-yard line.

The Seahawks led 23-15 at halftime, after Wilson hit Lockett on a 1-yard TD pass with seven seconds left in the second quarter.

The Cowboys took the second-half kickoff, but Prescott was sacked by Jarran Reed on the first play from scrimmage and fumbled, with Seattle's Benson Mayowa recovering the ball and returning it to Dallas' 5-yard line.

Two plays later, Wilson hit tight end Jacob Hollister for a 1-yard TD, giving the Seahawks a 30-15 lead.

Prescott found Wilson with a 42-yard touchdown pass with 5:47 left in the third and Gallup for a 43-yard score with 13:07 remaining to pull the Cowboys within 30-28. The two-point conversion attempt after the latter score failed.

Prescott led a 16-play, 70-yard drive for Zuerlein's go-ahead field goal.

Zuerlein kicked a 43-yarder on Dallas' first possession of the game before Wilson hit Lockett for a 43-yard TD and Dallas' Ezekiel Elliott was stopped for a safety in the end zone. A 1-yard touchdown run by Elliott tied the score at 9-9 through one quarter when the extra point was unsuccessful.

Elliott was limited to 34 yards on 14 carries.
