PETALING JAYA: The Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has predicted heavy rains to hit six states in Malaysia from early today until noon.

In a Facebook post, today, the areas in the Peninsular predicted to be hit with rainfall include Penang, Pahang (Bentong and Temerloh), Hulu Langat in Selangor, Jelebu in Negeri Sembilan and Pontian in Johor.

Meanwhile in East Malaysia, two areas in Sarawak, namely Miri and Bintulu, are also expected to experience rainfall until noon.
