Malaysia’s junior cheerleading squad secures an impressive third place at World Junior Championship

PETALING JAYA: Team Malaysia Youth All Girls cheerleading team achieved a remarkable feat at the International Cheer Union World Junior Cheerleading Championships (ICU JWCC) 2024.

Against formidable opponents from around the world, the team secured an impressive 3rd place in the Youth All-Girl Median division. Canada emerged champions while Mexico came second.

This championships took place in Florida, USA and it is the second time Malaysia has participated in this division.

This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent of the young athletes, aged 12 - 14 years old. Their perseverance and commitment to excellence have not only brought pride to the nation but also showcased the immense potential of Malaysian youth on the global stage.

The Cheerleading Association & Register of Malaysia (CHARM), the national body for cheerleading, would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to YB Hannah Yeoh, the Ministry of Youth & Sports, the Ministry of Education and all the team’s sponsors, for the unwavering support throughout the team’s journey. Their generous contributions and encouragement have been instrumental in helping the team achieve this remarkable success.
