PETALING JAYA: Former Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has been admitted in the National Heart Institute’s (IJN) critical care unit (CCU) after being diagnosed with lung issues.

His son-in-law, Khairy Jamaluddin, said in an Instagram story that the country’s fifth prime minister, who is fondly known as Pak Lah, was hospitalised after being diagnosed with spontaneous pneumothorax.

“He is currently in a stable condition and is still required to be in IJN’s Coronary Care Unit for observation.

“Alhamdulillah, he is in good condition but needs sufficient rest. On behalf of the family, we appreciate your prayers and words of encouragement. However, he is unable to receive visitors for the moment,” Khairy added.
