REMBAU: A thief in Negeri Sembilan who was unsatisfied with his initial theft of RM100 returned to the temple four days later to commit the same crime.

The actions of the individual were recorded through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and uploaded by an individual on his Facebook account.

Rembau district police chief Deputy Superintendent Shaik Abd Kadar Shaik Mohamed said that the case which took place on the first day of Raya when the suspect entered the temple and stole RM100 from the security guard who was asleep, as reported by Kosmo.

“The donation box however was not stolen. The suspect then returned on a second attempt four days later. However, the suspect failed to enter as the security guard caught wind of what the suspect was up to.

“The second incident did not result in any loss. The CCTV footage may have been circulated by the temple management,” said Shaik.

He added that the police are currently attempting to track down the suspect involved in the incident.
