Bernama Kulim district correspondence dies of heart attack

KULIM: The Malaysian National News Agency's (Bernama) Kulim district correspondence Alias Putih died of heart attack at the Kulim Hospital early today.
He was 69.
His wife, Asma Zakaria, 69, said Alias was admitted to the intensive care unit on July 12 after suffering a swollen foot and to seek treatment for his kidney problem.
"He was then transferred to a ward to undergo haemodialysis treatment before having a heart attack at about 6.30am today," he told reporters at her house in Taman Desa Impian here.
Asma said her husband was pronounced dead at 6.45 am and was laid to rest at the Au-Taufiq Mosque Muslim cemetery, Air Merah after the Zohor prayer.
Alias joined Bernama in 1980s and was last spotted by colleagues at the Kedah Bernama Bureau's breaking-of-fast event. — Bernama
