New chief cop for Bukit Aman training division

KEPALA BATAS: North Seberang Perai police chief ACP Azmi Adam (pix) has been tapped for duties in Bukit Aman after serving the district since 2015.
He will take on the post of Chief Assistant Director (Training, Examination, Competency) Training Division, Bukit Aman Management Department effective immediately.
The transfer of the 55-year-old also comes with a promotion in rank to SAC.
His replacement will be former Jempol district chief Supt Noorzainy Mohd Noor who is away on a pilgrimage.
As part of the transfer, Noorzainy will also be promoted to the rank of ACP.
In handing over his duties to district deputy police chief Supt Abdul Aziz Daud, who will be acting district police chief, Azmi expressed his thanks to the police personnel under his watch.
The police veteran of 28-years thanked them for working with him to combat crime as well as members of the community policing units and Rukun Tettangga (RT) for anti crime efforts.
"Everyone of us should continue to work harder to combat crime and I ask all of you to give your full cooperation to Nooraizainy," he said today in the ceremony witnessed by Penang police chief Datuk Chuah Ghee Lye.
