Unemployed man fined RM4k for causing hurt on wireman

KUALA LUMPUR: An unemployed man was fined RM4,000, in default six months' jail, by the Magistrate's Court here today for causing hurt on a wireman with a machete.
Magistrate Mahyudin Mohmad Som handed down the sentence on K.Sathiya, 26, who pleaded guilty to causing hurt on N.Anbarasan, 35, at Block J1, Lorong Perumahan Awam Jinjang, Jinjang Utara, here about 11pm on Dec 11 last year.
Anbarasan was injured on the abdomen, head and hands in the incident.
Sathiya paid the fine.
In the same court, Mahyudin fined Muhammad Aliff Haiqal Abdullah RM1,000, in default two months jail, for voluntarily causing hurt on a student.
Muhammad Aliff Haiqal, who is unemployed, was charged with voluntarily causing hurt on Abdul Khaliq Al-Hakim Ahmad Faizal, 20, behind Friends Café Publika, Jalan Dutamas 1 here at 10.30pm last Sept 3.
