'Bicara rakyat' good platform for FT folks to air grievances

KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Territories Ministry will open up more space to hear the people's grievances through the 'Bicara Rakyat' programme.
It's Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the platform enables the people to voice their problems, suggestion and views directly to leaders.
"This programme is more focused towards middle-income groups like those living in terraced houses and condominiums.
"Based on my findings, we are always trying to solve problems of folks living in public housing estates like PPR (People's Housing Schemes) but other housing estates have their own issues," he said.
He was speaking to reporters after attending the inaugural 'Bicara Rakyat' programme held at Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) here last night.
Some 300 TTDI residents attended the programme and among the issues raised was a housing development in the Taman Rimba Kiara green lung beside suggestions to upgrade the parking system in the upscale neighbourhood. — Bernama
