AFTER its release date was leaked prior to the release of its latest story trailer, Ubisoft has confirmed that Star Wars Outlaws will come out on Aug 30 later this year, after pre-orders went live on April 9.

The publisher also revealed that players who purchase the game’s Gold or Ultimate edition will receive three days of early access in addition to other digital goods.

Centred on the “cunning scoundrel” Kay Vess in the first open-world Star Wars game, Outlaws’ storyline will see Vess’s antics as a skilled thief being noticed by Sliro, the leader of Zerek Besh, a criminal syndicate. After Sliro places a bounty on her head, Vess and her companion Nix are offered their one shot at freedom by trying to pull off one of the greatest heists of all time.

“Vess and Nix will need to navigate the underworld across the galaxy, building their reputation with legendary criminal organisations including the Pyke Syndicate, the Hutt Cartel, the Ashiga Clan and Crimson Dawn to earn the support they need to finish the job,” said Ubisoft in a statement.

According to the game’s box art, it will require an internet connection to be installed once it is released on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
