LENOVO'S new line-up of Multimodes is the latest in innovation that is built on the brand’s legacy of performance, reliability, durability and manageability.
Among the highlights of the many devices showcased at the launch recently are the Yoga, Flex and Smartphone series.
The Yoga series saw the unveiling of the highly-anticipated Yoga tablet, Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro and ThinkPad Yoga.
The Yoga tablet is Lenovo’s latest flagship device. It features a whopping battery which lasts up to 18 hours in one charge.
Coming in two display sizes (8 inches and 10 inches), both Android tablets feature the same aluminium chassis and a utilitarian design concept to support the ‘holding mode’.
The smaller variant retails at RM999 while the bigger one retails at RM1,299.
Also featured at the launch were the Yoga 2 Pro, Lenovo’s ultimate multimode ultrabook, and the ThinkPad Yoga, its ultimate multimode business ultrabook.
The former features a 13.3-inch QHD Multi-Touch LED display that is able to flip back 360° to offer four different usage modes – laptop, tablet, stand and tent.
The ThinkPad Yoga is no different when it comes to transforming but it comes with the legendary ThinkPad reliability and business and security features.
The Yoga 2 Pro retails from RM4,199 while the ThinkPad Yoga starts from RM4,600. Both will be available this month.
Featuring in the Flex series are the Lenovo Flex 14 – a thin and light dual-mode laptop, and the Flex 20 – a sleek all-in-one desktop that transitions into an interactive, multi-user table mode, making it extremely convenient and portable to be moved from room to room.
The Flex 14 retails from RM2,299 and is perfect for those wanting a serious worker and an entertainment machine, while the Flex 20 retails from RM2,999.
In the smartphone series, the highlight at the launch was the new and improved Lenovo K900 smartphone as well as several new additions in the A and P series.
The K900 was first launched in April last year with just 16GB of onboard memory. This time around, Lenovo booted up the memory space to 32GB.
It also gave the 5.5-incher a new black finish, making the Intel Atom-powered device sleeker than its predecessor.
Both the steel grey and black colour K900 are available at RM1,499.
Lenovo Malaysia country general manager Khoo Hung Chuan said: “Despite the ongoing global economic slowdown, Lenovo has maintained its status as the No.1 PC supplier with 17.7% of the global PC market share, up two points year-over-year.
“We continuously strive to offer [our customers] new technology and products that are capable to adapt to their needs and new usage scenarios as well as preferences.”
Prakash Mallya, Intel Malaysia and Singapore country manager, who was present at the launch, added: “Notebooks are still prevalent despite predictions of their obsolete-prone state and it is only because of innovations.
“The new Intel 4th Gen Core processors, for instance, provide great response, and secure and powerful performance for consumers to create and consume content wherever their mobile lifestyles take them.”
