769 receive state awards, medals from N.Sembilan ruler

    KUALA PILAH (Jan 14, 2014): Tunku Besar Seri Menanti, Tunku Ali Redhauddin Ibni Tuanku Muhriz, heads the list of 769 recipients of state awards and medals in conjunction with the 66th birthday celebration of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, today.
    Tunku Ali Redhauddin, the eldest child of Tuanku Muhriz, receives the Darjah Seri Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Terbilang (S.S.T.M.) which carries the title, "Datuk Seri". Also receiving the S.S.T.M. is Sime Darby Bhd chief operating officer, Datuk Abd Wahab Maskan.
    Ten people were conferred the Darjah Datuk Paduka Negeri Sembilan (D.P.N.S.) which carries the title, "Datuk". They are Tuanku Jaafar Hospital Seremban (HTJS) orthopaedic specialist Dr Abdul Rauf Ahmad, state executive council (exco) members Abu Ubaidah Redza and Datuk Jalaluddin Alias, Malaysian Armed Forces Defence Logistics assistant chief of staff Maj-Gen Hanafiah Jaafar, Beyond Marvel Sdn Bhd director Ruslan Ibrahim, Malaysian ambassador to Austria Datuk Selwyn Vijayarajan Das, director of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's (UKM) Institute for Climate Change Studies Prof Dr Sharifah Mastura Syed Abdullah, CIMB Investment Bank Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Seremban High Court judge Datin Zabariah Mohd Yusof and lawyer Zamani Ibrahim.
    Three recipients of the Darjah Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Gemilang (D.S.T.M.), which also carries the title of "Datuk", are lawyer Nasharuddin Hussin, medical specialist Dr Satber Kaur, and entrepreneur and social activist Woo Swee Lian.
    The 29 people conferred the Darjah Setia Bakti Negeri Sembilan (D.B.N.S.), which carries the title "Datuk", include Port Dickson district officer Ab Khalid Mat, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Corps chief Brig-Gen Abd Halim Othman, Mubarak Malaysia supreme council member and Negeri Sembilan Mubarak deputy chairman Abdul Muhi Abd Wahab, First Brigade commander Brig-Gen Datuk Adnan Abu Bakar, Royal Malaysian Signals Regiment commander Brig-Gen Datuk Ahmad Hadiatullah Maknun Ridzuan, businessman Ahmad Rusdi Ahmad Soffian, social activist Chong Khin Sang and Cypark Sdn Bhd chief executive Daud Ahmad.
    Also receiving the D.B.N.S. are businessman Hairodin Bibit, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Special Operations deputy director Hishamuddin Hashim, Negeri Sembilan Angkasa communications chief Ibrahim Abdullah, Negeri Sembilan deputy state secretary (management) Ibrahim Hassan, HTJS senior consultant and Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Department head Dr Jenny Tong May Geok, Negeri Sembilan Education Department director Kalsom Khalid, businessman Kamarul Halim Muhamad Sharip, social activist R. Krishnan, Negeri Sembilan state development officer Mohamad Rawi Baharom and Puncak Oil and Gas president Mohamed Sabri Mohamed Zain.
    The others are UKM treasurer Mohd Abd Rasid Mohd Fadzil, UKM deputy vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mustafa Mohd Hanefah, retired TNB general manager Nordin Ahmad, Advanta QS Sdn Bhd managing director Norhisham Abdul Malek, Gagah Satria (M) Sdn Bhd chief operating officer M.A. Paul, Shell Refining (FOM) Bhd managing director Rozano Saad, Perak police contingent headquarters Management Department head SAC Zulkapli Ahmad, and businessmen H. Nagendran, S. Surash, Tan Tian Meng and Wong Kam Yong.
    Twenty-eight people received the Darjah Setia Negeri Sembilan (D.N.S.) award, including Public-Private Partnership Unit director Ab. Rahim Ab Rahman, State Syariah Judiciary Department syariah officer Abu Zaky Mohammad, Army Training Centre chief of staff Col. Amirudin Sulaiman, Manjung (Perak) district police chief ACP Jaafar Baba, Negeri Sembilan TNB general manager Kamal Arifin A. Rahman, Sungai Lui assemblyman Mohd Razi Mohd Ali, Institute for Malaysian and International Studies director Prof Dr Rashila Salam, Negeri Sembilan Hockey Association secretary P. Tamil Selvan and Rembau district officer Zaidi Johari.
    The lone recipient of the Darjah Tuanku Muhriz (D.T.M.) is Malaysian Squash Federation president Nik Razeen Adam Daud. Ten people were awarded the Darjah Pekerti Terpilih (D.P.T.), 92 the Ahli Setia Negeri Sembilan (A.N.S.), four the Setiawan Tuanku Muhriz (S.T.M.), 216 the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang Masyarakat (P.M.C.), 338 the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (P.J.K.), 26 the Pingat Khidmat Lama (P.K.L.) and 10 the Bentara Tuanku Muhriz (B.T.M.).
