KUALA LUMPUR: All PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) highway rest-stop suraus, including on the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT 2), were reopened today in accordance with the decision by state Islamic Religious Departments in conditional movement control order (CMCO) zones.

A statement from PLUS chief operating officer, Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi, today said it covers Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Melaka, Johor and Terengganu, but not Negeri Sembilan.

He said that users must check-in using the MySejahtera app or manually to enable contact tracing.

“Users are advised to bring their own prayer items, like the telekung and prayer mat, for hygiene purposes and because they will not be provided,” he said.

He said that there are 1m floor markings in the wuduk and prayer area to ensure physical distancing and that the public are discouraged from lingering after they have finished their prayers as a precaution against social contact. — Bernama
