CIMB Group employee tests positive for Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR: An employee of CIMB Group Holdings Bhd has tested positive for Covid-19 and is being treated at a government hospital.

The group in a statement today said persons in direct contact with the employee who is based at its call centre in Menara Southern Bank (MSB) have been placed under home quarantine until given medical clearance.

It said the particular centre has been closed for thorough sanitisation while other call centres are still operational.

“The temporary closure of MSB will impact the number of calls we are able to attend to this morning and we seek the understanding of all customers as we work hard to get the call centre up and running again.

“CIMB has business continuity plans in place for both Head Office and branches to ensure continuation of essential services and we have implemented several precautionary measures to ensure the well-being of our customers and staff,” it added.

CIMB said the measures include a mandatory travel declaration policy, hygiene and social distancing at its head office and branches, and situation monitoring with updates. - Bernama
