Covid-19: Staff at Sunway Pyramid outlet tests positive

PETALING JAYA: Sunway Pyramid has confirmed that a staff at one of the mall’s outlets has tested positive for Covid-19 today.

The mall management said that immediate disinfection has been carried out, alongside close contact tracing by the Health Ministry (MoH).

“The management of Sunway Pyramid Mall has been made aware of one Covid-19 case on Sept 26 involving one staff member of a Nike outlet at the first floor of the mall who had a travelling history.

“We would like to assure all tenants, vendors and customers that the case is an isolated one and has been attended to immediately upon identification, together with the affected tenant in full compliance with MoH guidelines,” Sunway Pyramid said on its official Facebook page today.

The mall’s management said that MoH has contacted close contacts of the infected individual and ordered them to undergo health screening and self-quarantine procedures.

“The management of Sunway Pyramid Mall is fully committed to protecting the health and safety of our tenants and communities,” it added.
