KUALA LUMPUR: The new Selangor DAP chief, Gobind Singh Deo is confident his team and himself can strengthen DAP further in Selangor in the preparation to face further challenges.
In his jottings on Facebook, he expressed his appreciation to all those who had supported him at the Selangor DAP state committee elections yesterday.
The Minister of Communications and Multimedia regarded his appointment as state chairman as an honour.
He said what was clear was that he would indeed be shouldering a heavy responsibility.
‘’But together with the new team, I am confident we will be able to build the Selangor DAP further in preparation for facing further challenges,’’ said Gobind, who is also Puchong Member of Parliament.
He was among 15 new committee members who received among the highest votes in the elections held at the 2018 Selangor DAP Convention yesterday.
He was then appointed as state chairman and Seri Kembangan State Assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah became his deputy at the joint agreement of the members of the new committee. — Bernama
