Kelantan Bersatu stand solidly behind party president

PASIR PUTEH: Kelantan Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) is solidly behind its president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in the face of the party’s internal issues, for the sake of maintaining stability in the country.

Kelantan Bersatu chairman Datuk Kamaruddin Md Nor said there was no reason for his leadership to be disrupted by certain parties because as Prime Minister, he had proven his ability to lead the country.

“His biggest success was in tackling the threat of Covid-19 and reviving the economy which was affected by the pandemic,” Kamaruddin told reporters after chairing the Pasir Puteh Bersatu division here today.

He said the people who were disappointed when they were not appointed to key positions in the party will not succeed in their efforts as they did not have the support of party members throughout the country.

He added that in Kelantan, 14 divisions with 38,000 members from 280 branches stood solidly behind the party leadership, and to date, no branch has been dissolved even though there were efforts by dissatisfied individuals to split the unity within the party.

“They can make constructive criticism of the party leadership but they cannot slander the party struggles, giving fodder to others who are trying to break up the party,” he said.

He added that in order to ensure victory for the party in the coming general election, disciplinary action can be taken against anyone who acted against it. — Bernama
